Natural Resources Training Group (NRTG) was founded in 2016 and has grown from a garage startup into an internationally recognized leader in environmental training. With over 22,000 students trained, Industry-leading instructors worldwide, a core team across Canada , and 53 specialized courses, NRTG continues to provide high-quality, practical education that prepares individuals for successful careers in natural resources.
Empowering Students Through Environmental Training
At the heart of NRTG’s mission is the belief that education should be accessible, empowering, and relevant. Students from diverse backgrounds enroll in NRTG’s online environmental courses and field-based training programs to gain confidence, develop in-demand skills, and take control of their futures. Indigenous Training Programs and Flexible Learning Options
NRTG is proud to support Indigenous communities and learners across North America. Through customized, community-driven Indigenous training programs, we partner directly with communities, organizations, and individuals to build capacity in areas such as land stewardship, fisheries, forestry, and cultural heritage.
With a growing catalog that includes flexible Self-paced online programs, specialized MicroCourses, and Extended Programs, NRTG continues to lead the way in practical, job-ready education for those working in environmental and natural resource sectors.
