As NRTG continues to grow, we have an increasing need for instructors to deliver training. We are looking to expand our team of almost seventy teachers from across Canada and a full range of environmental disciplines.

We are seeking instructors skilled, knowledgeable, and experienced in their field. More importantly though is that they always put the student first. We are seeking people that want to share their knowledge and experience with others and balance that with wanting to learn from the students. They are expected, as we do at NRTG, to Lead with Empathy. We have particular needs in the disciplines of forestry, vegetation, grasslands, and wildlife but are also interested in hearing from you if you work in other fields.

NRTG instructors are a contract position and we work with individuals and their schedules to place them in front of students. Teaching time may run for only two hours a day to eight hour days, five days a week. These opportunities encompass both online teaching (Zoom) and travel to communities for in person instruction.

You will find few professional challenges as rewarding as teaching with NRTG. Our focus is on the student and not only instructing them for a brief period but building relationships and mentoring them throughout their career.

If you’re interested and want to learn more, complete the form below and our team will be in touch.

I have had the pleasure over the past two years of instructing with NRTG. It has been a great opportunity to pass on some of my experiences and, as I often say to students, point out some of the not so successful moments. I am a firm believer in learning by doing and that includes making errors and learning from projects that go not quite as planned. That’s true-life learning. NRTG’s training emphasis is on practical application which meshes perfectly with my philosophy of learning by doing.

Thanks again for the opportunity to be with NRTG. I am having a wonderful time learning from everyone. I feel I have grown more in the last two years than I have done the previous ten. So thank you for this. Three years ago I changed my direction with my career, and boy did I make a good call. Opportunities seemed to fall into place for me.
