ONLINE! Classroom duration is 9am to 4pm PST.

Writing proposals — whether for funding, to win work, or presenting a novel approach to a problem — is a necessary skill for nearly all professionals. Understanding how to read the audience’s needs, and craft a proposal that persuades the reader that you are the right person or firm for the job, is essential to success in getting your work done. A well-written proposal is half psychology and strategy, half prose development.

The lessons on writing persuasively and engagingly will reinforce and build on those introduced in Technical Writing for Professionals. This latter course is recommended as a prerequisite for anyone with less than five years experience writing proposals. For those that have been writing proposals more than five years you have likely learned the more basic lessons through the ‘school of hard-knocks’.
