🔟 years ago, NRTG began with a simple but powerful idea: education should do more than inform, it should transform.

What started as a response to a gap in traditional education has grown into something much bigger: a community of passionate instructors, dedicated team members, and thousands of students who are now protecting the lands, waters, and communities we all depend on.

Over the past decade, over 25,000 students have taken part in NRTG programs. But what truly defines this journey is the impact behind each one.

Our Land Guardian Program is a 5-week, fully online program focused on building practical skills you can actually use in the field, from monitoring wildlife and ecosystems to reporting and environmental protection.

It’s hands-on, scenario-based, and built to prepare you for real-world roles like environmental monitor, technician, or land guardian.
