Water Sustainability Technician Program

NRTG’s Water Sustainability Technician Program (WSTP) explores the growing global phenomenon of water scarcity, exacerbated by the rising demand and diminishing freshwater supplies. This program delves into the complexities of water management, which involves balancing the needs of various sectors and environments. Ecologists, engineers, agrologists, geologists, hydrologists, technicians, scientists and governments all contribute to sustainable water management but often with competing interests.  Key questions about water sustainability will be explored throughout the program.

Forestry Field Skills Program

NRTG Forestry Field Skills trains in wilderness safety, power tool operation and includes the S-100/S-185 Basic Fire Suppression and Safety certification.

Fisheries Field Skills Program

Certify as an Applied Biology Technician in NRTG Fisheries Field Skills – learn Backpack Electrofishing and conduct fish habitat fieldwork and procedures.

Environmental Field Skills Program

Certify as an Applied Biology Technician in NRTG Environmental Field Skills – learn Backpack Electrofishing, monitor mining, forestry, construction projects.

Land Guardian Program

NRTG’s Aboriginal Guardian Program (AGP) is resource management training for Indigenous Peoples to learn environmental monitoring and field assessment.
