Requirements for certification in Amazon Career Choice delivery of NRTG’s Water Sustainability Technician Program: Sept. 4 to Nov. 9, 2023

To successfully complete the online version of the Environmental Field Skills Program, the student must:

  • Complete more than 90% of all online modules
  • Attend (through live sessions or viewing of recordings of live sessions) 50% of live sessions
  • Complete all four required assignments AND achieve a grade greater than 50% across all four assignments. This means that if you achieve less than 50% on one assignment, as long as you balance that with greater marks in other assignments, the overall grade is greater than 50% you will be certified. Note though, that ALL assignments must be submitted.

Grading of assignments for Amazon Career Choice delivery of NRTG’s Water Sustainability Technician Program: Sept. 4 to Nov. 9, 2023

Assigned grades for the assignments (e.g., 60%, 70%, 80% etc.) will be done by markers but these will be less important to you than the comments and feedback provided on assignments. There are four assignments throughout the program, assigned at the beginning of each of weeks 2, 4, 6, and 8. Students then have two weeks to complete the assignment which will be due at the beginning of weeks 4, 6, 8, and 10 (see the syllabus and course schedule for dates of assignments and submissions). Each assignment contributes equally (12.5% each) to the overall 50% that assignments represent of the total mark.

Assignment due dates for September 3 to November 9, 2023

AssignmentDate due
1Monday September 25
2Monday October 9
3Monday October 23

There will be 10% deducted per day for late assignments.

NRTG has the goal of returning marked assignments to students within eight days of the submission date.

Grading is based upon the following table.
